HOWARD HERSH’s modular and sculpturally shaped panels masterfully explore the connectivity and relationship between nature and architecture. Hersh’s current work contains an interplay between tendril-like forms and boldly intersecting, hardedge blocks of rich color. Translucent layer upon layer of encaustic wax and oil are masterfully combined to create a densely refined yet delicately sensual surface.
HOWARD HERSH is a third generation artist and is highly regarded as a master in his field of encaustic art. His work is represented extensively in 84 international and national corporate collections as well as 20 museums and foundations. This will be his 14th solo exhibition in Santa Fe.
